GPD Pocket Is a 7in Windows 10 Notebook

Information technology's ordinarily the case that any screen size below 11-inches will exist constitute on a smartphone or tablet. It's true we used to accept x-inch netbooks, but they accept pretty much disappeared. Now GPD is attempting to fill up a gap it sees in the market with a Windows 10 notebook.

It does so with its 7in entr, called the GPD Pocket.

GPD isn't new to the market, and is probably best-known for its GPD XD. This 5in Android handheld runs but well-nigh whatsoever game yous throw at information technology from the NES correct up to the Dreamcast using emulators. The company also launched the GPD Win (running Windows 10) last year after a successful Indiegogo campaign.

The GPD Win obviously highlighted to GPD that, "some handheld game players are also the fans of laptop [sic]." So the GPD Pocket was born, offer a "laptop which can be put into the pocket."

For now, the Pocket is simply a prototype, but co-ordinate to Liliputing the hardware spec looks quite complete. Information technology includes:

The display volition use a very thin bezel so as to go on the overall size of the unit to a minimum. As you tin can run into from the prototype epitome, there is no touchpad on the unit, but a Lenovo ThinkPad-mode pointing stick instead. Again, this will minimize the overall size of the device.

Equally with the GPD Win, the GPD Pocket is expected to have an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds and deed as a pre-order organisation (probably starting at some betoken in February). The 5in GPD Win cost US$330, so we should probably expect a price due north of Us$350 for the GPD Pocket.
